John Kwadwo Alan Kyerematen, an independent presidential aspirant has introduced Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso, a 40-year-old legal practitioner and former hiplife artiste as his running mate.
Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso also known as E-Nice is one half of the defunct Echo hiplife group that sung the “Gologolo” hit single song featuring Tinny.
He is also a host on Pan Africa television and married to Kwesi Pratt Jnr’s daughter.
Alan Kyerematen submitted his nomination forms to the Electoral Commission on Wednesday to contest the December 7 presidential election as an independent candidate.
Alan Kyerematen is the founder and leader of the political group, Movement for Change, and calling himself as a transitional leader and someone to give the youth an opportunity to serve, Alan Kyerematen introduced the young legal practitioner, Kwame Owusu Danso as his running mate on Wednesday.
Kwame Owusu Danso’s mother hails from Elmina in the Central Region and his father is from the Oti Region, according to Yaw Buaben Asamoa, spokesperson for Alan Kyerematen.
Mr Alan Kyerematen’s explanation is that Kwame Owusu Danso’s selection aligns with the aspirations of Ghana’s youth, who are seeking greater inclusion in governance decisions.
He describes Mr Danso as a youth icon, recognised for his versatility and broad talents across corporate management, law, broadcast journalism, music, and civil society activism.
