A shocking video has surfaced on social media, allegedly featuring Daniel Asiedu, widely known as Sexy Dondon, making explosive claims about the high-profile murder of former Abuakwa North MP, J.B. Danquah.
According to the alleged footage, Asiedu claims he was contracted to carry out the assassination by President Nana Akufo-Addo through former MP Kennedy Agyapong and another individual known as Mr. Ofori.
The alleged confession details how Asiedu was approached for the job, stating that he was recruited on February 5, 2015, at Madina by an informant named Allotey.
Asiedu, who was already known for engaging in criminal activities, claimed that Allotey offered him a lucrative deal in exchange for carrying out the job.
He revealed that he was taken to Adenta, where he met two prominent men who introduced themselves as Kennedy Agyapong and Mr. Ofori.
According to him, they informed him that the contract was initiated by Nana Akufo-Addo, who was then focused on his presidential campaign, leaving them to handle the operation on his behalf.
“They asked if I knew why I was called, and I told them that Allotey had briefed me,” Asiedu allegedly stated.
“They then confirmed that the work was from Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, but since he was busy campaigning, he had asked them to handle it.”
The murder of J.B. Danquah in 2016 sent shockwaves across Ghana, sparking debates about political motivations behind the crime. Asiedu was arrested shortly after the incident and charged with robbery and murder.
Despite undergoing psychiatric evaluations and being declared fit for trial, the case has been fraught with inconsistencies.
A seven-member jury recently delivered a 4:3 split decision of not guilty, leading Justice Lydia Osei Marfo to discharge the jury due to inconclusive findings, paving the way for a retrial.
Meanwhile, Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun of Spiritlife Revival Ministries has claimed that the recent controversies surrounding Kennedy Agyapong are part of a divine orchestration.
He prophesied that Agyapong would remain in the public eye until 2028 and beyond.
