The personal aid for Mr. John Boadu, the NPP General Secretary, NPP Abanga a.k.a “OBIA BE DIDI” applaudS His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana is a man of virtue who has the interest of Ghanaians at heart. For this reason, he norminates competent people to lead and manage the affairs of the country. The President submitted a list of 46 ministers designated to parliament for approval through the speaker Alban Bagbin. Abanga believes that everyone on this list is competent enough to help this administration now and in the next four years. The interesting thing here is, the President was very fair in his selection. These persons include females, males and the physically challenged.
This shows that the President and the NPP government are neither gender biased nor selective. It also proves that no matter your condition, so long as you are competent enough, you have an opportunity to work with the NPP government. Some ministers were also maintained due to their effectiveness and efficiency.
Honorable Joseph Makubu is proof of competency. He is well abreast with knowledge about his work hence his appointment as Oti Regional minister designate. Abanga believes that the President’s inclusion of physically challenged persons and the youth in his administration, will help motivate and encourage others to keep pushing for their goals. It also gives hope to others who think that because of their condition, they can’t associate themselves or engage themselves in politics and in any other sector.
Abanga advised the leaders of the country saying “If the youth approach you, you should give the person words of encouragement and advise that will help them in all aspects of their lives” . He also said that if you have the means to assist anybody whether it’s through educational sponsorship or job opportunities don’t hesitate to do so. Because the youth today, are the leaders of tomorrow. Helping the youth attain good positions and choosing the right part in life will help build a strong foundation for the future. And to the youth, Abanga advised them not to give up easily. He said “be persistent in getting what you want. If you are not able to get it today, you might get it tomorrow. Keep trying”. Finally, he appealed to the Chief Executive Officers to be appointed at various agencies by the President to show hospitality when they are confronted by the youth.
